Maintenance Technician

 

Our plant in Malvern, AR has an excellent opportunity for a facility/building Maintenance Technician.  Work will consist of a variety in duties and scope, including:


  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Mechanical
  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Emergency repairs
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Industrial equipment maintenance

Description of Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Connect power supply wires to equipment and machinery
  • Diagnose malfunctioning transformers, motors, and lighting
  • Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors
  • Diagnose and repair faulty electronic components such as circuit boards
  • Lays out and installs wiring and conduit
  • Service and repairs overhead cranes and hoists
  • Performs safety inspections
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial equipment
  • Scheduled maintenance on industrial equipment
  • Corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
  • Scheduled repairs on industrial equipment
  • Performs emergency repairs on industrial equipment
  • Performs all work in a safe manner and abides by safety rules in accordance with company policy
  • Follows lock out- tag out procedures as needed to insure safe work practices
  • Logs all service work performed, recording downtime during repair and accounting for equipment service requests
  • Must be able to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, and the like with agility
  • Performs work in areas subject to hazards as moving mechanical parts, electrical current.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate a past history of following processes and procedures
  • Must demonstrate a past ability to follow safety rules at all times
  • Must demonstrate a past history of reliably and accurately filling out documentation
  • Trustworthy and dependable
  • 3 – 5 years of Industrial Maintenance troubleshooting and maintaining industrial equipment
  • 3 – 5 years performing facility and building maintenance including Electrical & Mechanical.  This position may work day shift, night shift, or a combination of the two
